A PRESENT FOR JOHNK

*Repost due to a mysterious bug in the formatting that would not link to a larger version of the composite*

There are at least two men that John Kricfalusi gets a boner for. One is actor  Kirk Douglas. The other is Animation director Bob Clampett. Neither are kept a secret as JohnK himself will profess his love for Kirk's rippling back muscles, or give his visage  exposure in his cartoons and on multiple characters, even to the detriment of that cartoon]. Or liberal use of Clampett's characters in music videos he has done. Not to mention the stalking of his favourite animation director [ironic as he seems less than please to have Ren and Stimpy appreciators* on his website, let alone his front lawn]. But nevermind all the politics. I made this for Mr. Krickfalusi.
It's obviously not done with menace, and does not include his current girlfriend in it at all. So please, no deranged rants from anyone, especially from JohnK's Ex-wife. And without further ado [I don't do ado, no ado do I do, to do ado is too much doo-doo ©crsP], I present to you John Kricfalusi and Bob Clampett's daughter - JohnBob!
I might do one for you if you have access to a link of yourself and the person you want to have a child with. Try to take or use a photo of you that matches the pose of your beau - i.e. if they are facing slightly left, do the same. I will provide a small version of the results for free [about the size of the preview here, maybe larger], but if you want large, then we could make a deal. A deal wherein you pay me an obscene amount of money. Things you could make from it include, mugs, T-shirts, genital tattoos, the sky's the limit.

A GELFLING'S BROKEN PROMISE

I bought myself the DVD of The Dark Crystal some months ago. I haven't watched it yet, as I don't have a television. What I remember when I first watched it in the cinema was that it wasn't immediately apparent to me who were the good guys in this film. Those gelflings didn't seem trustworthy. It was something to do with the speed that they ran. It seemed supernatural to me, watching on that big screen. They had something to hide. And though I was used to puppets, with the Muppets Movie being a quality film [as is most things muppets], I couldn't figure out what was going on with these creatures. They were too thin to be people in suits [or were they? *wink wink*], and unlike the Muppets, you couldn't see the 'strings'. It didn't help that they had those freakish long fingers. What is a young boy to think?

This drawing is old [from last year], I finally managed to get some interest in finishing colouring it. Mainly because I'm ill. Erm, so blame that on the quality also.

INTENTIONAL PLAGIARISM

This was done some time last year [2006]. Was checking out the trial version of Painter. That ended after 60 days, but I had only saved it in Painter's native 'riff' format. Finally got to a computer with Painter on it so I exported as a photoshop psd, which I knew to work with Artrage. I was thinking of putting a backdrop in there, but I decided to leave it as-is. I did have to erase some spillage that occurred in the conversion to psd. I think it might have been a mask that doesn't get imported\exported correctly between formats.

It's good to see some old work, at least it shows I'm making some progress with my painting techniques [albeit not much progress]. Strangely the inking seems to be better than what I do these days. Not sure. I think I was using pastels for colouring. Possibly oil pastels. Used to do some pastel and oil pastel stuff with 'real' materials. Thought I was quite the hotshot, till one fateful day I saw the work of some girl on the course I was doing, which completely blew away anything I had done with pastels. So naturally I resented them after that point. hehee! Can't remember how I did those tears, but I sure do like! The whole thing is a bit pixelated though

Oh yeah, this frog is from a Ren and Stimpy cartoon. Phew, narrowly avoided litigation there. Oh, I didn't take credit for the character, that means it's no longer plagiarism, and that makes this whole post a SHAM!

STIMPY ET REN

Perennial favourites, expertly hand crafted and rendered for your pleasure. From memory, no reference used. And with that, you're probably thinking something like, 'Dood, use some reference next time'. Point taken.

IT HAS ARRIVED!¡!

You know you're amazed at the newness of this post-adimit it!!! There are NO posts above it, and plenty below~>it's new I tells ya! ... Okay, what other proof do you want? A birth certificate?! Some people are so difficult to please-sheeh!

I'm announcing my retirement from posting comments on the John Kricfalusi log. Yes, I think the poor guy deserves a holiday. He's tried deleting my post, but I keep posting. He's tried ignoring my comments, but I keep on typing, having lots of fun one-sided conversations where I would ask a question and get no answer. Then I would contradict something he wrote. But also bring examples to back up my argument. The comment would appear, but no rebuttal. Was I correct? Did I win the argument? who knows, but one way conversation is no fun. Except for radio djs. But most djs are douches.

Yea, there's probably a bit of whinging in there-but only because I like to talk about animation, and hey, JohnK is seemingly available for discussion. So don't blame me for commenting, the only animation authority I get to speak to on a daily bases is the cash machine. And you wouldn't believe the kind of shitty ideas on timing it has. So no, don't take this as an attack on JK, the reason I had to announce it will become all too apparent in the next article (yes, I am a clit-teaser).
